Installation
Note: All trucks may vary slightly. Minor adjustment during installation is normal.
Mock up the cab back to the chassis using clamps and check fitment. Some play is normal and allows for adjustment during installation.
Mark mounting hole locations. Installation kit hardware uses 3/8″ bolts. Drill holes or use existing chassis holes as applicable.
For newer Ford chassis (2017 and up), U-clips or J-clips with matching screws can simplify installation.
Apply sealant to the chassis around drilled holes to prevent water or debris from entering the cab.
If the cab back requires floor bracing (24″ depth and larger), determine brace locations. These can be adjusted later if needed.
Clamp the cab back to the chassis, then install nuts, bolts, and fasteners. Tighten gradually, alternating from side to side, and adjust alignment as necessary.
Due to chassis variation, a small gap may exist where the floor meets the cab back. This can be addressed using metal, treated wood, spray foam, rubber gasket material, or similar methods.
To seal the exterior seam, apply painter’s tape to both the cab back and chassis sides near the seam. Apply sealant between the tape lines, then remove tape for a clean finish.
For cab backs 24″ and larger: Attach the angled metal bracket to the floor and use the flat 4×4 attached to threaded rod to provide additional floor support.
Designed for installation by professional upfitters or experienced do-it-yourself builders
